The
Farmhouse "La Coccinella" |
Its
panoramic position and its peaceful isolation amongst the verdant
mountains
of Cortona make the farmhouse La Coccinella one of the most attractive
accommodation facilities in the Cortona area and surroundings.
The farm is located 11 miles away from Cortona in a position
that allows it to benefit from the warmth of the sun all day
long. The farm, surrounded by lawns and forests, is perched
at a height
of 650 metres a.s.l. and enjoys a stunning view of the valley
of the river Minimella and the Tuscan and Umbrian Apennines.
Far from trafficked roads and from the hustle
and bustle of the city the farm is an ideal place to spend
your holidays
in absolute quiet and offers its guests all modern comforts
(swimming-pool and other facilities) and the chance to reach
all most attractive centres of Tuscany and Umbria by car within
minutes. Here in this uncontaminated environment you will be
able to behold the beauty of the colours nature lavishes on
us, smell its scents and breath in some of this eminently pure
air to regenerate your body and soul.
During the day besides going for a swim in the pool, basking
in the sun and reading a good book in the shade of a nearby
grove, you will be able to take a tour of a our farm consisting
of woods, tilled land, lawns, ponds, olive groves, vineyards,
vegetable gardens, orchards, a chicken farm and a small flock
of sheep.
Depending on the season you may have a chance to taste the
natural and typical products of the woods such as strawberries,
blackberries, mushrooms, chestnuts and the produce of our garden
such as melons, watermelons, cucumbers, etc. The farm is completely
family-run and all people here wish to cater for your every
need and make your holiday as enjoyable as possible.
In the evening, in case you feel like cooking yourself, we
will be glad to offer you for free some of the biological produce
of our vegetable garden and, in case you wish to taste the
typical Tuscan cooking, the closest restaurant is only ¾ of
mile away.
